Nungua Coldstore has replaced Akatsi Rifles at the top of the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League standings in the latest standings released.
Coldstore ranks first in the league with eight points from winning all four games played this season including wins over Teshie Vikings and a 40-37 win over Spintex Knights.
Losing 47-66 to Spintex Knights cost Rifles the top spot it occupied after going on a three game winning streak. Akatsi has seven points from winning three of four games and sit in second place.
On the other hand, the win was Knights first of the season after close losses to Tema Wildcats and defending league champions Coldstore. Knights rank ninth in the 12 team league.
Bagging a 53-36 win over Sakumono Titans moves Tema Heat to third place with a record of two wins and two losses. Francophone Stars is fourth and shares the same record with Heat.
Tema Rockets move into eighth place after grabbing its first win of the season by beating Teshie Rangers 58-21. Rangers rank bottom with a win in three games. Below is a full breakdown of the standings:
