Young Boys Basketball Club has replaced Suncity Braves as leaders in the 2018-2019 GSP Basketball League after clearing outstanding games.
The outstanding games were honored at the Sunyani Technical University (STU) Court on Wednesday, May 1 along with scheduled league games.
Young Boys recorded a 48-20 win over West Siders with David Ziem scoring a 11 point, 11 rebound double double and Andrew Quansah registered 13 points.
In the final quarter of the Week 10 matchup between Young Boys and Techiman Merchants, the former beat the latter to record a 37-27 win.
The pair of wins put Boys ahead of defending league champions Braves on the ten team standings with the league winding down.
Suncity suffered a 25-31 loss to Spartans in Week 17 to lose momentum heading to the final stages of the season. Braves suffered its fourth loss to Spartans.
In other results, STU grabbed a 74-23 win over Barracks Scorpions on Wednesday in front of a partisan crowd.
