Spintex Knights have generated a lot of conversation since making its debut in the Tema Community Basketball League this season.
Thanks to a bevy of high profile signings the newbie’s games have drawn large following to its games; Knights have played twice this season.
However, both games have ended in close losses for Spintex who lost 46-47 to fellow league debutant Tema Wildcats and 37-40 to defending league champions Nungua Coldstore.
The team’s schedule quest for its first league win doesn’t get any easier as Knights are scheduled to play Akatsi Rifles who are yet to lose a game this season.
Rifles have been in fantastic form this season; their run started in preseason after recording a surprise fourth place finish in the BetWay Hoops Tournament.
Akatsi recorded a 48-33 win over Sakumono Titans and is one of two teams to have three wins in the 2019 season; Coldstore is the only side that match Rifles feat.
Expectations could turn into frustration for Knights should the losing run continue.
