2019 Tema Community Basketball League debutant Spintex Knights remains winless two games into its maiden run in the fast rising league.
Knights have played two games this season and have lost both including this past Sunday’s three point loss to Nungua Coldstore.
Spintex lost 37-40 to the defending league champions after battling from a 10-21 first half deficit to trail 37-38 with less than a minute left to play.
In a well attended game at the Tema Community 4 Court, the two sides clashed with star studded lineups from either side.
Knights collection of top talents including former Coldstore starting Point Guard Kontor Appiah made life difficult for Coldstore particularly in the second half but their efforts were undermined by turnovers in the first half.
The three point loss was another close defeat for Spintex who surprisingly fell 46-47 to fellow league newcomer Tema Wildcats in its opening game of the 2019 season.
Spintex will remain bottom of the standings after Rockets grabbed a win over Teshie Rangers.
