Tema Community 4 clinched its second win in three games in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League thanks to a hard fought win over rival Tema Community 2.
C4 clinched a 57-44 win over C2 in the last of four league games played at the Chinese Court on Sunday, April 28. In the prior games, Francophone Stars beat Tema Wildcats 34-30 while Spintex Knights lost 37-40 to Nungua Coldstore.
Tema Rockets recorded its first win of this season after bagging a 58-21 win over Teshie Rangers; Rockets were winless in two games before playing against Rangers.
Community 4 on the other hand, needed late conversions from three point range from Thomas Amedeku and Kent Fosu to stave off a late charge from Community 2.
The matchup was evenly balanced as C4 ranked sixth in the league just a spot above C2 with both teams having the same record of a win in two games.
The important win puts the 2017 league champions in an advantageous position in a crowded middle section of the standings.
