Kontor Appiah to face former side in anticipated fixture

Highly rated Point Guard Kontor Appiah will face his former side Nungua Coldstore at 18:00 GMT for the first time since leaving the latter ahead of this season.

Spintex Knights take on Coldstore tonight in the highly anticipated matchup at the Tema Community 4 Court in the Tema Community Basketball League.

Appiah played three seasons with Coldstore helping the side clinch two league titles and back to back BetWay Hoops Tournament titles.

In a surprising move, Appiah left Coldstore to join other top recruits at Knights who made their league debut with a 46-47 loss to Tema Wildcats.

Knights boast top level talent of Elvis Pobi-Siaw, Bashiru Mohammed, Raymond Maha and 2018 League Most Valuable Player Award winner Benjamin Omari.

Having Appiah line up against his former teammates adds up to the excitement in the build up to this game. Three other matchups are to be played at the venue tonight.

Tema Rockets play Teshie Rangers at 15:00 GMT before Francophone Stars take on Wildcats and Tema Community 4 play Tema Community 2 in the final matchup.
