GSP Basketball League defending champions Suncity Braves is under the pressure to clinch a win this weekend to stretch its lead in the standings.

Last season’s champions rank first in the ten team standings with 29 points from winning 13 of 16 games in the 2018-2019 season.

However, due to a 23-25 loss to Sunyani Technical University in Week 14, the team’s lead over second placed Young Boys has reduced to two points.

It must be noted Young Boys have played a game fewer than Braves and has a big chance to scale past the two time league winners.

Braves is in action on Sunday, April 28 at the STU Court in one of just two games to be played. The matchup tips off at 16:30 GMT.

Barracks Scorpions play home side STU in the opening game; STU ranks fifth in the league and is coming off a 17-24 loss to Young Boys in the previous round. Scorpions are eighth. Below is a full breakdown of the standings:
