The new FIBA Africa headquarters will host the draw to determine fixtures in the 2019 Africa Basketball League (AfroLeague) Final Four.

The semifinal matchups are to be determined on Saturday, April 27 at the newly constructed headquarters in Ivory Coast’s largest city, Abidjan.

Primeiro do Agosto from Angola, JS Kairouan from Tunisia, AS Sale from Morocco and Smouha SC from Egypt will battle for spots in the final game from May 24-26.

The semifinal games are to be played at the Kilamba Arena in Luanda, Angola with the Central African nation getting the nod after a recent announcement from FIBA.

This is set to be the first major event held at the newly built headquarters popularly known as Africa’s House of Basketball which was commissioned by FIBA President Horacio Muratore.

This serves the purpose of the new facility built on a 4000 meter land square and boasts of lagoon edge terrace, a Hall of Fame and other amenities.

Former FIBA Secretary General Patrick Baumann was heavily involved in the project before his demise.
