Managing Director of NBA Africa Amadou Fall has expressed excitement about the upcoming Basketball Africa League with his excitement captured in describing the competition as “attractive”.

The veteran administrator said this in addressing matters about the new league that is due to commence in 2020 with teams from six African nations in line to compete.

Teams from Angola, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Senegal and Tunisia are tabled to feature in the maiden edition with a possible expansion in subsequent years.

League winners from the aforementioned nations qualify to the competition with a special playoff qualifier to start in September.

The competition has caught the eye of Fall and according to Pan African Hoops said,

“It will be very attractive for the champions clubs to come to participate in this Basketball Africa League, assures the boss of the NBA Africa . So, obviously, the national championships will become much more competitive.”

Africa has deep ties with the NBA and the league is the latest program to improve the relationship between the continent and the world’s premier basketball league.
