The high scoring game marked another big week in the ongoing campaign but Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG) Saints did not feature.
The Saints were scheduled to be in action against lower ranked side West Siders but the game couldn’t come off due to tertiary institution’s participation in the UPAC Championship.
Catholic University progressed to the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship quarterfinals for the first time this year.
However, the league games were played out at the Sunyani Technical University on Sunday, April 14 a day after the 2019 UPAC concluded.
The tough schedule prevented Catholic University from making it in time to play in the league. The Saints missed out on a semifinal spot but grabbed its maiden win in the prestigious competition.
Catholic University beat Koforidua Technical University (KTU) 41-34 for the win but lost two games including one to eventual champions University of Ghana (UG).
