Three teams are featuring in the Tema Community Basketball League for the first time and perhaps the one with the biggest draw finally gets to play on Sunday, April 21 at the Tema Community 4 Court.
Spintex Knights has had to wait for a while to make its debut but the Knights are primed to play fellow debutant Wildcats in the league this weekend.
The matchup is one of five fixtures scheduled to play out in the latest round including an all Tema clash between home side Community 4 and Community 2.
However, Knights eagerly anticipated debut will generate equal interest after the team signed big name players from established clubs in the league.
Guards Kontor Appiah and Elvis Pobi-Siaw lead the list after moving from defending league champions Nungua Coldstore and Ashaiman Lions respectively.
Appiah and Pobi-Siaw were engaged in several battles over the years as Lions and Coldstore served up the biggest rivalry in the league with deep playoff series matchups.
