Young Boys Basketball Club has punched a big win in the 2018-2019 GSP Basketball League season after a resounding win over Barracks Scorpions.
Young Boys trampled Scorpions 116-20 in the last round of league games played over this past weekend at the Sunyani Technical University Court.
The win is margin is the largest recorded in the history of the GSP League and indeed this season by Young Boys; the team is competing in the league for the first time.
The team’s stellar line-up impressed in the game with Player-Coach Andrew Quansah leading the way with 35 points, eight assists and a steal.
Forward David Ziem recorded 30 points, nine assists and two blocks and Point Guard Robert Brew added 28 points, eight assists, two rebounds and a steal.
The top performers for Scorpions were Jeffrey Agyeman and Felix Asiedu who had seven points and six points with a rebound respectively.
The past round did not have Catholic University College, Ghana (Saints) compete due to the team’s participation in this year’s UPAC Championship.
