Former University of Connecticut (UCONN) Associate Coach Glen Miller has described Amida Brimah as a player “still young” in basketball.
He made the statement in an interview with Hartford Courant as he worked out with his former player at UCONN. Brimah and Miller have connected in the offseason to improve Brimah’s game especially shooting.
The Ghana Center is scheduled to feature in the NBA Summer League after playing his second season with NBA Gatorade League’s Austin Spurs.
On Brimah’s game, “He’s very young to the game, still, even after playing at UConn and a couple of years in the G League. We’re just trying to break his mechanics …he’s been very receptive. He really wants to be good. He’s very coachable. He likes being in the gym, and I love being with guys who like being in the gym” Miller said.
Brimah has impressed since graduating from the Huskies in 2017 by helping Spurs win last season’s G League title and being named to the G-League All Defensive Team twice.
Brimah and Miller won the 2014 National Collegiate Title together in 2014.
