Amida Brimah has had sometime to reflect on his title winning season with University of Connecticut (UCONN) in 2014 after spending time with former UCONN Associate Head Coach Glen Miller this offseason.
The Ghana Center and his former Coach are working together to improve Brimah’s shot after Austin Spurs missed the NBA Gatorade League playoffs.
Despite garnering a lot of plaudits for his impressive work on the defensive end including being to two All Defensive Teams in the G League, Brimah’s offense remains a work in progress.
Working with Miller is to get improvement on Brimah’s shot but the former Huskies Captain couldn’t help but recall his important three point play with 39 seconds left to play that set UCONN on the path to clinching the title.
“To be honest, I didn’t know the magnitude of what we did at that time,” Brimah said, “not until I left UConn. Then I realized we really did something great. My greatest moment was that play, I guess.”
Brimah averaged 6.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in his four year stay at UCONN and graduated with Degree in Agricultural Economics.
