University of Ghana (UG) has officially retired the Jersey of Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff in honour of his great achievements with Ghana’s premier University.
The brief ceremony was held in the aftermath of the 2019 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
Wolff led UG to a 37-32 win over Takoradi Technical University (TTU) for a fourth straight UPAC title and he was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
After receiving the prestigious trophy, Coach Dr, Baba Samori led the team to congratulate Wolff on his remarkable run with the team and hoist his Number 5 Jersey high at UG’s Central Court.
The sharp shooter who plays Small Forward also is the only student-athlete to win four UPAC titles and is the most decorated player in the history of the renowned competition.
In the 2018 edition, Wolff was named Co-MVP winner with former teammate Kwame Opoku and was instrumental in the team’s success right from his first year. Opoku’s jersey was retired last year.
Wolff helped UG clinch gold in basketball at the 2016 and 2018 All Africa University Games.
