University of Ghana (UG) Shooting Guard Emmanuel Wolff has been named Most Valuable Player at the 2019 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
The fourth year Guard and Captain won the top prize after producing another starring performance on the biggest tertiary basketball stage in Ghana.
This is Wolff’s second MVP Award at the Championship after being named Co-MVP with former teammate Kwame Opoku in last year’s edition.
His win comes on the back of helping UG win a fourth straight title thanks to a 37-32 win over Takoradi Technical University (TTU) in this year’s final.
Wolff helped UG clinch the Zone title and top Group A at the quarterfinal stage before producing big three point shots in the crunch game against arch rival Accra Technical University (ATU).
UG squeaked past ATU 51-50 and need the rangy Guard’s accuracy from deep to overturn a 21-24 deficit at the start of the fourth quarter.
Beating TTU means Wolff ends his run with UG on the winning side for the fourth time in a row.
