JS Kairouan and AS Sale have qualified to the semifinals of the FIBA Africa Basketball League (AfroLeague) to complete the Final Four list.

Tunisian side Kairuoan beat country rival ES Rades 74-73 in another nail biting finish between the two sides. The first leg ended in a 68-67 win for JSK.

Moroccan side Sale beat Nigerian side Civil Defenders 96-77 after the first leg ended 69-69 in Abuja a week ago. Sale is the defending champion.

The results mean Sale and JSK join Smouha SC and Primeiro do Agosto in the semifinals of this year’s competition after Agosto and Smouha sealed their spots prior to this weekend’s games.

Kairouan got 17 and 16 points production from top duo Maodo Nguirane and Ahmed Dhif in the crunch game between the local rivals.

In Casablanca, Sale had Abderrahim Nagah as its top performer following a 27 point and nine rebounds outing for his side.

The semifinal matchups are yet to be determined. Three North African side will feature at this stage of the competition.
