TTU (blue) v UG
KNUST (white) v ATU

Accra Technical University (ATU) will clash with University of Ghana (UG) in the semifinals of the 2019 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

The game is one of two set to be played out in the second phase of this year’s competition’s knockout stage at the UG Central Court.

The matchup tips off at 9:00 GMT on Saturday, April 13 and will serve as the latest as the latest chapter in the epic battle between the two powerhouses.

ATU placed second in Group B after winning two of three quarterfinal games played earlier today including a 32-27 win over Marshalls University College.

UG however, topped Group A after winning all three games played including a comeback 44-42 victory over Takoradi Technical University (TTU).

ATU and UG matchups are of historical proportions considering the pair has clashed in previous Final Games held in 2016 and 2018.

UG won both encounters as it steamrolled to three straight UPAC titles in recent years. The second semifinal has Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) up against TTU.

This year’s UPAC Championship is sponsored by CAL Bank and MTN.
