University of Ghana (UG) Men’s Basketball Team Captain Emmanuel Wolff has expressed his desire to end his run with the team on a high note.
The Shooting Guard is in his final year at UG and hopes to end his stay with another Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship title.
In three years at Ghana’s premier University, Wolff has won the prestigious title each year beginning 2016. The then first year player hit the go ahead three point shot to give UG a 47-45 win over Accra Technical University.
In an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com after leading UG to another quarterfinal appearance in the competition, Wolff said, “My last year, make sure I make the best of it”.
His statement was supported by fellow fourth year teammate Gerard Sappor who added, “we’re going for the fourth (title) back to back to back to back expect that.”
UG beat Regional Maritime University 49-25, beat Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) 71-2 and beat Central University 35-17.
The quarterfinals come off on Friday, April 12 after a recent schedule change. The 2019 UPAC Championship is sponsored by CAL Bank and MTN.
