The draw for the quarterfinals of the 2019 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship (UPAC) will take place on Wednesday, April 10 Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The much awaited draw will air live on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports on popular morning show “HeadStart” at 7:30 am tomorrow.
Eight institutions will be drawn into two groups with four in each group for the first phase of the knockout round and is to be played out on Friday, April 11 at the University of Ghana (UG) Central Court.
Winners of the eight zones in the preliminary stage of the competition will have their fates determined in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
Rite Sports Limited-UPAC organizers- Chief Executive Office Yaw Sakyi Afari will headline the live draw with HeadStart anchors Angela Bamford and Jake Morrison.
Koforidua Technical University, Takoradi Technical University, Marshalls University College and Catholic University College, Ghana make up half of the roster.
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Accra Technical University, Radford University College and UG round up the list.
UG has won the UPAC Championship in three straight years beginning in 2016 and are the record winners of the renowned competition.
