The UPAC Title
The 2019 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship quarterfinal games are scheduled for Friday, April 12 at the University of Ghana (UG) Central Court Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The first phase of the knockout stage in the competition was originally scheduled to take place on April 11 and 12 at the same venue.

However, a few challenges encountered have pushed organizers-Rite Sports Ltd-to compress the schedule and play out the games on Friday.

Eight tertiary institutions have qualified from the zonal stage and are to be drawn into groups of four on Wednesday, April 10. The draw is to be conducted live on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports morning program “HeadStart” at 7:30 AM.

Three time winners UG and two time winners Accra Technical University headline the list of qualified institutions to fight for a place in the final game on Saturday, April 13.

The 2019 UPAC Championship is sponsored by CAL Bank and MTN and is the sixth edition of the most compelling tertiary basketball tournament in Ghana.
