Ghana and Peristeri GS Forward Ben Bentil is in line to face Panionios later this weekend in the Greece A1 Basketball League in Week 22.
The matchup takes place on Saturday, April 6 and it comes on the back of Peristeri’s brilliant 80-72 win over league leaders Panathinaikos in Week 21.
Peristeri ended the Greek Giants’ 20 game winning streak but the Rick Pitino led side still top the league ahead of close rival Olympiacos.
Bentil was in splendid form in the big win as he scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds adding two assists, a steal and a block in 24 minutes off the bench.
The former Dallas Mavericks Forward is averaging 10.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in his first season in Greece. This is Bentil’s second season in Europe after a brief stint in the NBA and CBA (Chinese Basketball Association).
Peristeri rank sixth in the 14 team league but is tied with two other teams on the same record (14 wins and seven losses). Panionios rank 11th with six wins and 15 losses.
