A handful of competitors in this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship have dominated the recently held Private Universities Sports Association Games (PUSAG).

The 2019 PUSAG ended at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast recently with Wisconsin International University College winning the Men’s Basketball Division.

Wisconsin was followed by Marshalls University College, Radford University College and Catholic University College in respective order.

All four institutions participated in Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball competition-UPAC-at the preliminary stage with all but Wisconsin progressing to the quarterfinals.

Marshalls qualified from UPAC’s Zone 3 with Radford and Catholic qualifying from Zones 7 and 4 respectively. Wisconsin missed out on Zone One’s qualification spot to Koforidua Technical University.

The UPAC quarterfinals are due to take place on April 11 and 12 in Ghana’s capital, Accra with semifinals and final game scheduled for April 13.

Radford and Catholic will play in the quarterfinals for the first time; Marshalls on the other hand, has featured in the knockout phase four of five editions.
