Three institutions competing in this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship are set to engage in the “Rebound 5 on 5 Tournament”.
The competition is in line to be held at the Regent University College of Science and Technology with 16 teams including the host due to compete.
However, three of the competing teams have been penciled to compete in this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
Regent University, KAAF University College and Methodist University College are part of this weekend’s competition roster.
Regent and KAAF have been drawn in Zone 3 alongside Pentecost University College and 2017 UPAC Silver medalist Marshalls University College. The zonal competition commences on March 16.
Methodist University College is due to compete in UPAC for the first time in Zone 6 alongside Accra Technical University and Valley View University.
Saturday’s competition is a one day tourney geared towards preparing teams for Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball tournament.
Regent played in UPAC for the first time last year against the likes of University of Education-Winneba.
