According to Country Manager of betting firm BetWay Rex Danquah Jnr. plans are far advanced to have the BetWay Hoops Tournament across Ghana in the coming years.

He made the statement in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com in the second edition of the tournament held at the Tema Community 4 Court.

Nungua Coldstore won the tournament for the second straight year thanks to a 27-25 win over Tema Community 2 this past weekend.

Coldstore won the maiden edition of the tournament at the Takoradi Technical University following a 48-17 win over Oil City Dragons.

This year’s competition involved eight teams from the Tema Community Basketball League and BetWay’s Country Manager opined there are plans to stage the community basketball themed competition in other areas of the country.

“Last year we had it in Takoradi, this year we are having it in Tema and next year we could have it in Kumasi or some other place” Danquah Jnr. said.

Nungua Coldstore doubles as defending Tema League Champions.
