A majority of teams competing in the Tema Community Basketball League went through a thorough shake down ahead of the 2019 league season commencement.

The new campaign is set to start on March 24 and a month to the start of the 2019 season, eight teams featured in a preseason competition.

This year’s BetWay Hoops Tournament took place over the past weekend at the Tema Community 4 with Nungua Coldstore winning the competition.

This is Coldstore’s second win in the competition’s two year history thanks to a 27-25 win over Tema Community 2 this past Saturday and a 48-17 demolition of Oil City Dragons in 2018.

Nungua doubles as defending Tema League Champions and aims at becoming the first team to win back to back league titles.

Teams like Tema Community 4, Teshie Rangers, Teshie Vikings, Akatsi Rifles and Francophone Stars also competed in the BetWay Hoops competition.

Basketballghana.com gathers the league roster is likely to expand in 2019 to mark the fourth season of the Tema League.
