The competition will be held at the same venue for this year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship Zone 3 competition.
Regent is due to play KAAF University College, Marshalls University College and Pentecost University College in the Zone where the winner qualifies to compete at the national stage.
However, Regent University’s Male Basketball will engage in warm up games later this weekend in anticipation of the strong UPAC field.
The host and 15 other teams have been penciled as competitors in Saturday’s tournament that has the likes of Akweteyman Crushers, Mustangs, Rim Rockers and Methodist University competing.
The one day tournament is in line with Regent’s ambitions of getting tip top shape for its second appearance in Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball tournament.
Regent made its maiden appearance in the 2018 edition but missed out on qualification to the quarterfinals.
