Nungua Coldstore Basketball Team has added another title to its trophy cabinet after bagging the 2019 BetWay Hoops Tournament at the Tema Community 4 Court on Saturday.

The team beat Tema Community 2 27-25 in the final game to retain the BetWay Hoops title; in the 2018 edition, Coldstore had an easier run out to the title thanks to a 48-17 win over Oil City Dragons.

This is the latest triumph for the immensely talented team that added more quality by signing former Ashaiman Lions Forward Dennis Dugbennu prior to the competition.

In the words of Power Forward Kwame Boamah Djan, Coldstore “can’t stop winning” and they proved in the just ended tournament, that streak looks likely to continue in the Tema Community Basketball League.

Coldstore won its second Tema league title in 2018 and are heavy favorites to retain the title as they have done in the BetWay Hoops Tourney.

This year’s BetWay Hoops competition served as a preseason tournament for teams in the league. The new league season commences on March 24 per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com
