Austin Spurs and Ghana Center Amida Brimah return to action later tonight after featuring in the just ended FIBA Intercontinental Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Spurs are up against South Bay Lakers in the NBA Gatorade League with both teams in need of wins to turn around their respective seasons.

Reigning G League Champions Spurs rank ninth in the Western Conference while Lakers rank 11th in the same conference. The game takes place at the UCLA Health Training Center.

South Bay Lakers have won 14 of 24 games this season while Spurs have 16 wins in 20 games in what has been a disappointing campaign so far.

Last season’s Champions represented North America at the Intercontinental Cup and finished in fourth place after losses to Flamengo and San Lorenzo.

Brimah was a bright spot in Brazil averaging nine points, 8.5 rebounds and four blocks in two games trailing only Joel Anthony in rebounds and blocks in the competition.

San Lorenzo’s Anthony is a two time NBA Champions with Miami Heat.
