Ghana Center Amida Brimah made not one but two appearances in the Top 10 Plays in the just ended 2019 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.

The competition was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at the Carioca 1 Arena and had four teams compete in the prestigious tournament.

Reigning NBA Gatorade League Champions Austin Spurs, Reigning South American Champions San Lorenzo, Reigning Basketball Champions League winners AEK Athens and host Flamengo competed for the title.

AEK Athens won the title ahead of Flamengo with San Lorenzo placing third. Despite missing out on a medal with Spurs, Brimah’s impressive outing in Brazil didn’t go unnoticed.

He made two appearances in the highlight plays of the competition; his first appearance was a big rejection on former NBA Champion Anderson Varejao in the matchup against Flamengo.

His second appearance was a block against San Lorenzo in the Bronze medal which he finished off with a two handed slam on the other end.

Brimah averaged nine points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and four blocks in two games.
