After a series of scoring low in recent games, Ghana Forward Nathan Mensah got in on double digit scoring helping San Diego University to a win.
San Diego beat Boise State University 71-65 in the latest game for both sides in the American College Men’s Basketball regular season.
Mensah scored ten points in the five point win adding eight rebounds in 22 minutes as a starter for the Aztecs on Saturday.
The 6 foot 10 inch player was two rebounds shy of registering on a double double as he continues to carve out minutes in his freshman.
Teammate Devin Watson scored 19 points and added six rebounds; his scoring tally was tied by Boise Guard Justinian Jessup.
Mensah is set to play in San Diego’s next matchup on Tuesday, February 26 against Nevada but the status of fellow Ghanaian Joel Mensah is up in the air after not featuring in the win against Boise State.
Like Nathan Mensah, Joel is in his first year and measures 6 foot 10 inches.
