Ghana Center Amida Brimah has a big chance to add to his medal collection later tonight when he and his Austin Spurs teammates get ready to play tonight in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup.

Spurs play San Lorenzo tonight in the bronze medal game at the Carioca 1 Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil after missing out on playing for the ultimate prize.

Austin lost 58-90 to host Flamengo in its opening game with a poor performance that had last season’s NBA Gatorade League Champions score just four of 20 three point shots.

Spurs low score was also down to turnovers and only Josh Huestis scored in double figures for the team with ten points. Brimah scored eight points.

The 6 foot 10 inch player added seven rebounds, four blocks and two assists in 25 minutes and is in line to feature tonight for the bronze medal.

Brimah won the National College Championship title with University of Connecticut and added the G League title last season in his first go around with Austin.
