Group games in the 2019 Africa Basketball League (AfroLeague) continue this weekend at the Palais des Sports Mahamasina, in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Games in Group D are set to take center stage beginning tonight to determine two teams to qualify to the next stage of the continental championship.

Smouha SC from Egypt, ASB Mazembe from Democratic Republic of Congo, Atletico Petroleos from Angola and Club Omnisport Police from Madagascar are competing in the Group.

Games commence tonight with Omnisports taking on Atletico and Mazembe playing Petroleos in the first of three rounds of fixtures which end on Sunday, February 17.

The top two teams with the best record progress to the Elite 8 stage where teams will engage each other in home and away fixtures where successful teams progress deeper in the tournament.

Record winners of the competition previously known as the Africa Club Championship, Primeiro do Agosto from Angola and former winners Al Ahly from Egypt progressed from Group C following games played this past weekend in Cairo.
