Aflakpui attempts shot at the rim
Temple University’s Men’s Basketball Team has responded to a loss to Tulane University earlier this week by grabbing a win over Southern Methodist University (SMU).

Ghana Forward Ernest Aflakpui featured for Temple in the 82-74 win in the game played earlier this morning at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.

The win was a great response from the Owls after falling flat in a 58-76 loss to Tulane. On a personal level, Aflakpui had a bounce back performance in the win.

The 6 foot 10 inch player registered six points, 10 rebounds an assist, and a steal in 18 minutes as a starter for Temple University.

He led all players on Temple’s in rebounds but his tally fell into second place behind SMU’s Isiaha Mike’s 11 rebound performance.

Aflakpui’s Teammate and Guard Alshton Shizz, Jnr. led all players in scoring with 28 points on the back of scoring five of nine field goal attempts and scoring all five attempts from the free throw line.

Temple takes on University of South Florida next on Saturday, February 16.
