Nigeria Senior Male Basketball Team (D’Tigers) Center Alade Aminu has cautioned teammates ahead of the final window of FIBA 2019 World Cup qualifiers.

The qualifiers in Group F are to be held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from February 22-24 with Senegal, Central Africa Republic, Nigeria and the host nation set to compete.

Nigeria heads to the round as one of three nations that have qualified to the World Cup to be held in China later this year.

Angola and Tunisia have also qualified and two spots remain for contending nations on the African continent including the aforementioned nations.

Knowing what is at stake for the remaining nations, the older brother of Portland Trailblazers Forward Al Farouq Aminu is cautious about the upcoming games.

“Our opponents will be hungry and no doubt determined as well. For us, we just have to do what we need to do to take care of the situation. We’re not expecting a tea party in Abidjan” he said in an interview with FIBA.
