Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Men’s Basketball Team Captain Richard Donoh has stated there is more room for his team to improve before the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
This year’s UPAC is scheduled to commence later this month and end in April with 32 institutions in Ghana’s tertiary sect competing for the biggest prize in tertiary basketball.
Donoh made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com following the conclusion of this year’s GGHATUSA-Ghana Technical Universities / Polytechnics Sports Association- Games where TTU placed second in the Men’s Basketball Division.
TTU lost 25-38 to host Accra Technical University (ATU) in the final game and Donoh cited the team’s silver medal run as a point of improvement ahead of UPAC.
“There is more room for improvement we’ve been able to show that we can play…this final, there were some lapses that got us this Silver (medal) so I think UPAC we will do better” he said.
TTU placed fourth in last year’s UPAC behind bronze medal winners University of Education-Winneba. University of Ghana won the competition.
