Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Men’s Basketball Captain Richard Donor heaped praise on his team by calling them “super” following the conclusion of this year’s Ghana Technical Universities / Polytechnics Sports Association (GHATUSA) Games.
TTU placed second in the Men’s Basketball Division after falling 25-38 to host and defending champions Accra Technical University (ATU) in the final game.
The result was reflective of the final standings of the biannual multi sport competition which ended over this past weekend with ATU winning the Overall Best Men’s Award.
Speaking exclusively to Basketballghana.com after the final, Donoh was appreciative of his team’s progress despite the loss.
“As a team we’ve been super compared to last two years we’ve been super this year. Last year we came fourth but this year we became second” he stated.
TTU had a big run to the final beating Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) 52-23 in the semifinals but a poor first half performance against ATU hurt the team’s chances of picking the gold medal.
TTU trailed 8-20 at the end of the first half.
