Ghana Center Amida Brimah produced a near double double performance in Austin Spurs 111-109 win over Oklahoma City Blue in the NBA Gatorade League.
Brimah produced 18 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three blocks for Spurs in 29 minutes as a starter. He was a rebound shy of recording a double double.
The 6 foot 11 inch defender was his usual efficient self scoring nine of 12 attempts from the field with no three point and free throw shot attempts.
He was one of seven Spurs players to score in double figures leading his team to its second straight win this week. Austin plays Salt Lake City Stars tomorrow.
Brimah-last season’s lea shot blocker- paced the game in the same category with three rejections. Amida is second in the league this season.
After not playing in Spurs 119-108 win over Delaware Tuesday, February 6, this performance is welcome news for the former University of Connecticut Captain.
Guard John Holland led Spurs in scoring registering 19 points in the win.
