Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has a glorious chance to end Accra Technical University (ATU)’s dominance in basketball at the Ghana Technical Universities / Polytechnics Sports Association (GHATUSA) Games.
TTU is scheduled to play the defending champions ATU in two finals this weekend at the latter’s Court in Tudu on Saturday, February 9.
ATU Women’s Basketball Team plays TTU at 7:00 GMT before the same institution’s face off in the Men’s Division at 9:00 GMT.
ATU won gold medals in Men’s and Women’s Basketball at the 2017 edition held in Bolgatanga and the institution is on the brink of a record extending win.
Experienced Coaches Lawal Brimah and Hashim Brimah have been at the helm and overseen the dominant run from ATU.
TTU Coach Owusu Ansah has guided his teams to big and comfortable wins in the semifinals with the Male side clinching a 52-23 win over Kumasi Technical University (KsTU).
In the Women’s Division, TTU topped Koforidua Technical University (KTU) 24-10 in the semifinals played on Wednesdays. ATU earned a walkover win over KsTU.
