Thursday, February 7 2019 won’t be remembered quite fondly by members of Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) Basketball Teams for a while.
The institution’s Male and Female Basketball Teams respectively missed out on winning a bronze medal at this year’s Ghana Technical Universities / Polytechnics Sports Association (GHATUSA) Games.
Both teams were engaged in bronze medal games earlier today at the Accra Technical University (ATU) Court but ended up disappointed.
In the Men’s Division, KsTU lost 24-25 to Sunyani Technical University (STU) in a keenly contested game that had several lead changes but Sunyani winning ultimately.
In the Female Division, Kumasi was outplayed by the more organized and bullish Koforidua Technical University (KTU) team and lost 7-23.
This was a sad way for Kumasi Technical to end its campaign in the biannual multisport competition which comes to a close on Sunday, February 10.
However, the basketball final games in the Men’s and Women’s divisions take place a day before with ATU taking on Takoradi Technical University (TTU) in both.
The Female final tips off at 7:00 GMT and the Male Final tips off at 9:00 GMT.
