Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Women’s Basketball Team has clinched its place in the final game of the 2019 Ghana Technical Universities / Polytechnics Sports Association (GHATUSA) Games Basketball event.
TTU run over Koforidua Technical University courtesy a 24-10 win in the second semifinal game of the day; the fixture was played out at the Accra Technical University (ATU) Court in Tudu.
Prior to the game, defending champions ATU had a walkover win after Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) failed to show up for the game.
TTU made a very good start in the game running off to a 15-3 lead at the end of the first half and didn’t let up for the remainder of the game.
Takoradi Technical had the likes of Magdalene Fiamekor, Nella Vickar, Marie Tanoh and Felicia Addy-Morton score early in the game.
However, KTU played better in the second half an good looks at the rim but poor shooting prevented the team from closing the gap.
Deborah Opoku Sarfo and Rashidatu Abubakari played well but their efforts were not enough to preent KTU from losing by 14 points.
TTU plays ATU in the final game on Saturday, February 9 at the ATU Court at 7:00 GMT.
