Remnants of Ghana’s past and future will cross path on Wednesday, February 6 when Temple University plays University of Connecticut at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.
Temple Forward Ernest Aflakpui will feature for the Owls against a Connecticut Huskies team once captained by Ghana Center Amida Brimah.
Brimah graduated in 2017 after winning the national title with Connecticut in his first season and went on to standout on the defensive end.
The 6 foot 11inch player has gone on to win the NBA Gatorade League with Austin Spurs and led the league in blocks. He is second in the same category this season.
Aflakpui on the other hand, had a slow start to life in the team due to a serious knee injury that forced him to redshirt his freshman year.
However, he is coming into his own in his final year with the team and posted a game leading 21 point, 15 rebound production against Penn State University.
Temple has 16 wins in 22 games and UCONN has 13 wins and nine losses this season respectively.
