Registration of teams to compete in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League is in full swing per reports reaching Basketballghana.com
The registration process is due to end on Sunday, February 17 ahead of the upcoming campaign which commences later this year.
The 2019 league season would be the fourth edition of the fledgling league created to raise the standards of basketball in the municipality by creating a platform for the abundant talents to compete.
Through the years, the number of competing teams has increased from seven in the maiden edition in 2016 to ten in the last year’s edition with several teams interested to play in the league.
Francophone Stars competed in the league for the first time last season and ended up placing third ahead of mainstay Tema Community 2.
One of the teams expected to register for the 2019 season is defending and two time league champions Nungua Coldstore.
The team beat Tema Heat in Game 3 of the 2018 Finals Series to clinch its second league title.
