For the second time in as many games, Temple University’s Men’s Basketball Team has lost in the NCAA regular season in the United States.

Temple University lost 66-73 to Houston University earlier this morning at the Fertita Center in Houston; the loss is the second for the Owls in the past two games.

Earlier in the week, Temple lost 68-72 at its home Liacouras Center Arena after going on a good run including nicking an 85-76 win over University of Memphis.

Ghana Forward Ernest Aflakpui is a main stay in the team’s starting unit in his final season with the Owls and scored five points against Houston.

The 6 foot 10 inch player added five rebounds in 26 minutes and had trouble staying out of foul trouble racking up four in the process.

Temple Guard Quinton Rose led all players in scoring by dropping 26 points in the seven point loss which improves Houston’s record to 21 wins in 22 games this season.

The Owls have 15 wins in 21 games and play Tulane University on Saturday, February 2.
