Sunyani Technical University’s (STU) contingent is expected to arrive in Accra early on Friday, February 1 ahead of the Ghana Technical Universities / Polytechnics Sports Association (GHATUSA) Games.

The multi sport competition commences tomorrow after the opening ceremony and ends on Sunday, February 10 with Accra Technical University (ATU) as host.

The Accra Sports Stadium and El Wak Stadium will be used as ancillary venues of the Games; both venues will host the track and field events.

In a chat with Basketballghana.com ahead of the competition, STU’s Male Basketball Team Coach Andrew Quansah confirmed the institution will be present in Accra for the opening ceremony.

He opined the contingent will depart Sunyani-located in Ghana’s Brong Ahafo Region-in the early hours of Friday and expects them to get to Accra in time for the opening ceremony.

STU is one the top sides in this year’s Male Basketball division after impressing in the 2018 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

STU and Takoradi Technical University (TTU) are expected to challenge multiple winners ATU for the title.
