With a set date for the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Annual General Meeting determined, the 2019 league season is nearing commencement.

The Meeting is scheduled for 10:30 GMT at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra on Saturday, February 2 with a host of issues to be ironed out.

Club officials, Referees, Players and all stakeholders are expected to be in attendance for the event which has the league start date as the topic for discussion.

The upcoming league campaign is in line to be very interesting especially in the Women’s Division following Ghana Police Service’s resurgence.

The Police Team halted Braves of Customs title winning streak by winning all ten games played in the 2018 League season including two straight wins over Braves.

Police also beat Braves to win the maiden CAP 7 Tournament held in honour of former ABL Chairman Benjamin Baafi who passed away in 2017.

Three members of Police’s team qualified Ghana to the Africa 3×3 Championship held in Togo. The team will be looked out for in its title defense this season.
