Trials set to commence later today to select players for Ghana’s National Under 18 3×3 Basketball team have been postponed Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The selection process was scheduled to run from Saturday, January 26 to Monday, January 28 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

However, reports coming through indicate a few late challenges have cropped up thus preventing officials from proceeding with the trials.

A new date is yet to be disclosed for the places in the West African nation’s 3×3 Basketball team for upcoming competitions this year.

Invitation letters were sent to officials across the nation prior to the original set date but the recent development means prospective players would have to wait for the announcement of a new date.

3×3 Basketball is gaining rapid popularity in Ghana in a similar way the sport is heavily patronized around the world.

It has been included in the 2020 Olympics events in Tokyo, Japan. On the local front, a special 3×3 event is to be organized during this year’s UPAC.
