Bentil in action for Reims in France
Peristeri GS is aiming to bounce back from two straight losses in the Greece A1 Basketball League as it prepares to play Promitheas tonight.

The game is set to be Peristeri’s 15th game this season and the Athens based team heads into the fixture with 10 wins in 14 previous games.

Ghana Forward Ben Bentil has been a key player off the bench for Peristeri in his first season in Greece and scored four points and gathered 10 rebounds in his last league outing.

His production couldn’t prevent another loss for Peristeri as the team lost 70-96 to reigning Basketball League Champions AEK Athens in the previous round.

The loss meant Peristeri had dropped back to back games for the first time this season culminating in a slip from fourth to third in the league standings.

Bentil is averaging 9.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season after previous stints at clubs in France, China and Spain.

He is the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA.
