Radford University player battles two UG players for a rebound at 2018 UPAC.
This year’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship is set to commence next month with the upcoming competition set to feature a host of teams representing institutions at the College level in Ghana.

The 2019 competition is the fifth edition in the history of Ghana’s biggest tertiary level basketball with University of Ghana (UG) as two time defending champions.

In the lead up to the competition, Basketballghana.com gathers a special 3×3 basketball event has been included in the itinerary.

Further checks reveal the special games will feature on the bill of the final round of games in the competition set to be held in Accra.

The 3×3 event is scheduled to run from April 11-13 during the latter stages of this year’s UPAC and is the first in the competition.

The latest development attests to the popularity growth of 3×3 basketball in Ghana; Ghana’s National Female Team competed in last year’s African Championship.

Trials to select players for the National Under 18 team commences on Saturday, January 26 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
