A trio of Ghanaian players were in action over the weekend in leagues in the United States and Europe and dominated in the respective leagues.
In the NBA Gatorade League, Center Amida Brimah was hard to control around the rim as he rejected seven shots in Austin Spurs 100-86 win over Iowa Wolves.
Brimah scored an 11 point, 10 rebound double double, an assist and a steal on top of his game leading seven blocks in the win.
He came off the bench and played 23 minutes as he scored five of nine field goal attempts and converted one of two shots from the free throw line.
Still in the United States but at the College level, Forward Ernest Aflakpui also got himself a double double in Temple University’s 70-77 loss to Penn State University.
Aflakpui led players in points (21) and rebounds (15) in the game as a starter who saw 30 inutes of action on the hardwood.
In Greece, Small Forward/ Power Forward Ben Bentil mustered only four points but impressed on the boards as he grabbed 10 rebounds in Peristeri GS 70-96 loss to AEK Athens.
